Walnut and Dates Cake

Ingredients
- Maida – 250 grams
- Baking powder – ½ tsp
- Baking soda – 1 tsp
- Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
- Sliced Dates – 1 cup (6 to 8 pieces)
- Chopped walnuts – 3/4th cup (12 halves)
- Instant coffee powder – 1 tbsp
- Butter – ½ cup
- Condensed milk – ½ cup
Method
- Combine coffee powder with 1 tbsp hot water in small bowl and keep it aside for sometime
- Soak dates in hot water for 30 mins and then drain out the water
- Combine the butter with condensed milk in a huge bowl and beat it with mixer until it becomes smooth
- Add plain flour, baking powder, baking soda and mix well with spatula
- Add 6 halves of walnuts, dates, vanilla essence and coffee water mixture and again mix well with spatula
- Pour the batter into a greased and dusted bread loaf tin
- Sprinkle rest walnuts left evenly and pre heat at 180 degrees for 1 hour
- Let the cake cool down and loosen its sides, demould it later
- Ready to serve
